Meeting at 7 p.m. on the first Monday of the month at Ore Creek Middle School.

Hartland Area Community Council thanks all the volunteers who worked on the planning and execution of the 2010 Memorial
Day parade, as well as the Village School pancake breakfast, Luminary Night and 5K/10K Run. There were approximately 800
people who participated in the Parade by marching or riding on a float, a horse, a tractor or a classic car. Many thanks to all
the veterans who participated in the various ceremonies in Parshallville and Hartland, as well as being in the parade.

This was the 75th Anniversary of a Memorial Day commemoration in Hartland. In the 1930's and 40's the commemoration
was at the Music Hall and/or Cemetery. Memorial Day parades began in the early 1950’s, according to articles in Hartland
Community Life, and have grown to become one of Livingston County's premier events.
