Barbara's Wreaths of Gratitude:
The Hartland Area Community Council is proud to announce the renaming of its annual wreath-laying tradition in honor of long-time resident and devoted community volunteer, Barbara Krueger. Beginning in 2025, this meaningful event will be known as “Barbara’s Wreaths of Gratitude.” Barbara, who passed away in July, was a beloved member of the Hartland community and a tireless supporter of the Hartland Area Community Council. For decades, she carried the tradition of honoring our local veterans by ensuring wreaths were placed at their graves each year. Her deep love for her community and her enduring reverence for veterans made a lasting impact that will continue through this event. “Barbara’s Wreaths of Gratitude” will continue the tradition she held so dear, honoring the sacrifice and service of our local veterans with a visible symbol of gratitude during the holiday season. We invite the community to help us honor both Barbara’s legacy and the legacy of our veterans by supporting this year’s wreath efforts. Donations are gratefully accepted and will go directly toward the purchase of wreaths for veterans’ graves. For more information or to make a contribution, please contact: Hartland Area Community Council PO Box 496 Hartland MI, 48353 Email: hacc1935@gmail.com Venmo: @HACC1935 Together, let us carry forward Barbara’s vision of remembrance, gratitude, and community. |
