She retired in 2010, and is still working as a substitute teacher. Millie received her Bachelor and Master’s Degree from Marygrove College, and volunteers with the Marygrove Alumni Association. Millie and her husband Bill have three adult children, Dawn Lubeski (Jeff), Brian (Nicole), and Mark (fiancée-Raechel), who all attended Hartland Schools. This year, marks the 77th anniversary of Hartland’s Memorial Day celebrations. At first there were just services at the Music Hall or cemetery. Sometime around the Korean War, a parade and Epley Park activities were added. At the present time, Hartland’s Memorial Day Parade has grown to more than 800 participants and many thousands of spectators.
To help support the Memorial Day Parade, Community Council will be selling flyover buttons (third in a series) for $5.00 each. The Luminaire Service will take place Sunday, May 27th at the Village Cemetery. If you have specific question regarding this year's parade, please email us.
